LINBELIEVABLE HABITS PEOPLE WITH HIDDEN DEPRESSION

There will be two main types of people who read this blog: those who are better equipped to understand their loved ones, and those who see a reflection of themselves in these habits.

Depression is often unknown, unrecognized, or underdiagnosed. A person with latent depression is someone who is conditioned to deal with their inner demons in ways that are not obvious. They may or may not have been diagnosed, and it may or may not be something they share with their closest partner. The problem is that the world is at its darkest when we all stop understanding each other. We believe that hardships are exposed on the chest like battle scars, but many of these wounds are not readily apparent to those who don’t take the time to look.

  1. They make a deliberate effort to appear okay, and may even appear extremely happy and upbeat.
    The idea that all depressed people have the same dull personality is false. Depression is not just an emotional state. People with depression have learned to change their moods and may even be the “happiest” people you know. Personality can vary. Often, people with depression try to maintain positive and social aspects of their behavior, regardless of what is going on inside. No one wants to put others down, even if they hide how they feel.
  2. They may have routine treatments.
    There are serious ways to treat depression, including therapy and medication. However, in addition to these methods, there are lifestyles that can be used to treat the everyday mental state of people with depression. It can be music, exercise, driving, walking, or anything they know. Latent depression has a lot to do with the ways people try to overcome their demons.
  3. They may have abandonment issues.
    Anyone who has experienced depression knows how stressful it can be. It can also be a burden on those closest to them. Sometimes when you let someone in, they walk away to see your pain. Although it’s hard to blame these people for leaving, it can make people with depression feel left out. This creates a need for secrecy, fearing the downfall of loved ones. There’s nothing more heartbreaking than finding out the ugliest layer of yourself is just too ugly for someone you love.
  4. They can be good at “hidden” stories.
    It could be anything from a cut on their arm to the reason they skipped dinner. People living with various forms of depression experience a variety of challenges that can sometimes interfere with the normal functioning of their daily lives. In such small cases, they know what to say so that others do not draw attention to the symptoms of pain. Often they don’t want to realize that they are reaching their lowest point, so they know how to hide it.
  5. They may have abnormal sleeping and eating habits.
    It may seem like a small symptom or factor, but it has serious implications. People living with depression sometimes allow only minor symptoms to show. Too much or too little sleep is a textbook example. The same goes for eating too little or too much. Sleep and nutrition are two important elements for good health. These are also two elements that the human mind tries to control. Depression creates a sense of breathlessness, and at least some control may be all a person has. Sleep may be almost impossible or the only salvation. The same goes for eating.
  6. They may perceive matter differently.
    Someone who is dealing with their depression knows how to control what they put into their body. They know that alcohol is depressing, and long-term drinking can create a mental state that is less able to cope than the average person. They know that caffeine and sugar set their moods high. They know what drugs do what. They know what doesn’t mix well. They know all this, because changing their state of mind in any way is much more than being responsible for other people.
  7. They can show a very relevant understanding of life and death.
    Not everyone with depression has experienced suicidal thoughts. However, depression triggers unique and complex thought processes about life in general. Confronting mortality often comes at a time of despair. This happens when you are desperately searching for answers to all of life’s questions. Being dragged in and out of fearful thoughts can lead to more frequent thoughts like these.

  9. us depth of emotions can also lead to profound greatness. People who live with depression that may not be visible to the naked eye, often express themselves in incredible ways. They are in touch with the good and bad pieces of their souls. They are able to formulate and illustrate beauty through the shadows of the emotions they carry.
  10. They are often searching for a purpose.
    Everyone wants a purpose in life. We want to know that what we are doing is worthwhile. We want to know that we are moving in the right direction. Those who live with unseen depression want this as well, and in a way that attempts to satisfy something inside of them that may always be hungry for more. Feelings of inadequacy and fear are no stranger to the depressed mind. People with hidden depression are almost always trying to compensate in their lives for the frailties that they have inside. They may change directions often. They may become incredibly involved in the pursuit of true happiness. They are also striving and searching for more.
